The Ringling Circus Museum for a Glimpse of Sarasota History

Ladies & Gentlemen, Children of All Ages

Get a gimpse of circus life by visiting the Ringling Circus Museum. The museum is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. You can get an idea of life as a circus performer in the interactive section of the Museum where you can walk a tight rope or fit into a clown car. There's an outstanding collection of the circus' history including fabulous costumes, parage and baggage wagons, props, and old show posters. You'll delight in the 1905 Wisconsin rail car that John and Mable Ringing rode in during the glory days of the circus. There's also a miniture model of the cirucs on display, the world's largest model. The model demonstrates the size and complexity of the circus during the 1920s and 1930s.
